그 때가 가장 즐겁다

이 세상 근심 걱정에

얽매인 나를 부르사

내 진정 소원 주 앞에

낱낱이 바로 아뢰어

큰 불행 당해 슬플 때

나 위로 받게 하시네

내게는 가장 귀하다

저 광야 같은 세상을

끝없이 방황하다가

위태한 길을 떠나서

주께로 내가 이끌려

그 보좌 앞에 나아가

큰 은혜 받게 하시네

이때 껏 지은 큰 죄로

내 마음 섧고 아파도

That calls me from a world of care,

And bids me at my Fa-ther's throne,

Make all my wants and wish-es known!

In sea-sons of dis-tress and grief,

My soul has of-ten found re-lief,

And oft es-caped the tempt-er's snare,

By thy re-turn, sweet hour of prayer.

2.Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,

The joys I feel, the bliss I share

Of those whose anx-ious spir-its burn

With strong de-sires for Thy re-turn!

With such I has-ten to the place

Where God, my Sav-ior, shows His face.

And glad-ly take my sta-tion there,

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

Thy wings shall my pe-ti-tion bear

To Him, whose truth and faith-ful-ness

En-gage the wait-ing soul to bless:

And since He bids me seek His face,

Be-lieve His Word, and trust His grace,
